1．槽轮机构的特点
槽轮机构可将主动拨盘的等速回转运动转变为槽轮时动时停的间歇运动。具有结构简单、外形尺寸小、制造容易、机械效率高，能较平稳地、间歇地进行转位、工作可靠等优点；但在工作时有柔性冲击，且随着转速的增加及槽轮槽数的减少而加剧，槽轮的转角大小不能调节。
2．槽轮机构的应用
槽轮机构一般应用在转速较低且要求间歇地转动的场合。图示为槽轮机构在电影放映机中的应用，槽轮机构使电影胶片间歇地移动。
