Right Angle Gearheads

Right Angle Gearheads Right angle gearheads are flanged mounted gearheads that use worm gears and special spur gears. They allow motors to be installed at right angles to the axis of equipment such as belt conveyors. They offer the greatest number of ratios available, assuring optimum inertia matching and maximum design versatility.

Right angle gearhead offer machine designers a compact and lightweight solution for gaining extra torque from servomotors without sacrificing space. Right angle gear head with ratios greater than 25:1 are considered to be self-locking. They will resist movement up to their torque rating. As the gearing nears the end of its useful life or it is subjected to overload conditions, it may wear to the point where it is no longer self-locking.

They are used in reduction motor, speed control system, etc.
